About Clachan RVA
Clachan RVA specializes in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. We breathe new life into buildings that were once warehouses, mills and hospitals converting them into modern apartment homes that offer glimpses into the past by exposing original brick, beams, roof rafters and floors. Here in Richmond, we have several beautiful apartment buildings in VCU’s backyard as well as downtown and in Scott’s Addition.
In the last several years, VCU has grown dramatically adding thousands of students and dozens of new academic buildings including the new School of Engineering, The Brand Center, and new School of Business. As enrollment has grown VCU has maintained its commitment to provide on-campus housing for approximately 25% of its students. As a consequence, demand for VCU apartments within walking distance of campus has exploded.
Look around our site and you’ll find apartments convenient to all of VCU. If you’ll be spending your time near the new School of Business or Engineering Schools you’ll find our Jewelry Building apartments to be very convenient. On the other hand, if you’d like to be closer to the Siegel Center and the School of Fine Arts, check out T&E Apartments, 900 West Broad, Goshen Street Apartments, 824 West Broad or 1318 West Broad.
If you’re looking for a stylish and historic apartment a bit further from VCU, but still well within walking distance to your favorite restaurants and stores, consider Smokehouse Lofts in the middle of the vibrant Shockoe Slip. Or lease a large, one-of-a-kind loft in the up and coming Scott’s Addition area at Ambience Lofts.
